To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Macau's return to the motherland, the Macau Youth Exhibition Association will host a series of cultural and artistic activities and competitions, including the "Macau Return Cup" Youth Music Competition, the "Trajectory of Time" Children's Painting Competition and Painting Exhibition, etc., to celebrate with the public.

The press conference for the competition was held at 2:30 pm today in the conference room of the Macau Science Museum. Li Hancheng, President of the Macau Youth Exhibition Association, Long Qixin, a Macau pianist and examiner of the Joint Committee of the Royal Academy of Music, and Lin Jiayun, Executive President of the Four Directions Music Culture Association, attended and introduced the details.

Li Hancheng and others stated that this year's "Macau Return Cup" Youth Music Competition has piano, plucking, string pulling, wind blowing, and percussion sections. To cater to students of all ages, each section is divided into different difficulty levels, and each section will have four awards: gold, silver, bronze, and excellence, to commend participants for their outstanding performance.

Celebrating the 25th anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland, the children's painting competition has the theme of "The Trajectory of Time". The theme is not limited to the historical moments of Macao's return to the motherland, the cultural and traditional expressions of Macao, the development and changes of Macao, the natural landscape of Macao, and the connection between Macao and the motherland. The competition has groups for young children, low age primary school students, high age primary school students, junior high school students, and high school students. Participants can use any painting medium such as colored pencils, watercolors, oil paintings, etc. to showcase their understanding and feelings towards Macau, painting its beautiful scenery, cultural traditions, historical buildings, and showcasing its diverse culture and international characteristics.

     The organizer stated that they hope to showcase to the world the achievements and progress of the art world in Macau since its return to China 25 years ago through the competition, allowing the general public to experience the growth and development of young people and children in the fields of art, culture, and ideology, and increasing Macau citizens' love and identification with the country and Macau culture.
